They drag him, with the dust of the earth

Upon his face, naked, already stripped.

وكان لنا جبلاً راسياً

And he was to us a firmly rooted mountain,

Beautiful in appearance, abundant in grass.

فأوتي من خير ما يحتسب

And as for my benefactor, I did not aid him;

So he was granted the best he hoped for.

And the Jews rose with their swords,

Meager in generosity, base in ancestral honor,

عبيد أبي كربٍ تبعٍ
