نسيم البشر حين سرى

على روضِ الهنا ازدهرَا

على روضِ الهنا ازدهرَا

When the breeze of gladness wafted

The breeze of humankind blew,

Over the garden of joy, it blossomed.

When it wandered over our meadow of bliss and flourished,

وأغصان النقا رقصت

وأغصان النقا رقصت

وأضح دوحها خضِرا

وأضح دوحها خضِرا

And the dune's branches danced,

The boughs of eglantine danced,

And their spreading trees grew green.

And its basin appeared verdant.

وَصَدَّاح الصفا غنى

وَصَدَّاح الصفا غنى

بدا ما كان مستترا

بدا ما كان مستترا

And serenity's songbird sang:

The warbler of the dale sang,

What had been hidden appeared.

Revealing what was hidden.

بدا كالشمس إبراهي

بدا كالشمس إبراهي

م أو كالبرق إن سفرا

م أو كالبرق إن سفرا

Ibrahim appeared like the sun,

Ibrahim appeared like the sun,

Or like lightning when it shone forth.

Or like lightning when traveling.

به الدنيا غدت تزهو

به الدنيا غدت تزهو

وأمسى الدهر مفتخرا

وأمسى الدهر مفتخرا

Through him the world grew resplendent,

Through him the world became delightful,

And Time became proud.

And time itself grew proud,

وعطّر مسك مولده

وعطّر مسك مولده

ذرى الأرجاء وانتشرا

ذرى الأرجاء وانتشرا

And the musk of his birth perfumed

The scent of his birth perfumed

The heights all around, and spread abroad.

The horizons and spread out.

وقد سارت بشائره

وقد سارت بشائره

تبلغ للورى الخبرَا

تبلغ للورى الخبرَا

And his glad tidings indeed went forth,

News of his coming travelled,

Conveying the news to humankind.

Informing all creation,

وأبدى الدهر تاريخاً

وأبدى الدهر تاريخاً

به نجم الهنا ظهرا

به نجم الهنا ظهرا

And Time revealed a date:

And time itself recorded

“Through him the star of joy appeared.”

A date when our star rose.
