بان وجه الإنشاءِ فيه ولم يب

The face of composition has become clear in it, and no longer

This book makes clear the path of rhetoric -

is it difficult to follow the path of correctness.

No complex route remains to walk upright.

حلّ بيتَ الأسماع من غيرِ إذنٍ

حلّ بيتَ الأسماع من غيرِ إذنٍ

وأتى للقلوب من كل بابِ

وأتى للقلوب من كل بابِ

It entered the house of the ears without permission,

Without permission it approaches the abodes

and came to hearts through every door.

Of hearing, entering every door of hearts.

ليت شعري هل يُبتغى بعد هذا

ليت شعري هل يُبتغى بعد هذا

بيناتٌ على انتصار ديابِ

بيناتٌ على انتصار ديابِ

Would that I knew: after this, does anyone seek

I wonder: after this will Diyab still seek
