يا قبر أضنانا البكاءُ وتبسمُ

يا قبر أضنانا البكاءُ وتبسمُ

أدريت أن الفضل فيك مخيمُ

أدريت أن الفضل فيك مخيمُ

O grave, weeping has worn us out, while you smile.

O grave, our tears and smile have grieved,

Did you know that excellence is encamped within you?

I knew that you were blessed and prized.

أعلمت أنك قد حويت محمداً

أعلمت أنك قد حويت محمداً

وتركت أكباد الهوى تتضرمُ

وتركت أكباد الهوى تتضرمُ

Did you know that you have enclosed Muhammad,

I knew that you contained Muhammed,

and left the hearts of love ablaze?

And left the lovers' livers inflamed.

هذا الذي كانت بدائع فكره

هذا الذي كانت بدائع فكره

تملي البيان على اليراعِ فينظمُ

تملي البيان على اليراعِ فينظمُ

This is he whose wondrous thoughts

He whose thoughts were of wonders made,

would dictate eloquence to the pen, which would compose verse.

Dictating eloquence to the flourishing pen.

من عِترةٍ ثوت العلوم بدارهم

من عِترةٍ ثوت العلوم بدارهم

فهمو لطلاب الهداية أنجم

فهمو لطلاب الهداية أنجم

He was of a family in whose home the sciences dwelt;

From a family where knowledge thrived,

so they are stars for seekers of guidance.

They were guiding stars for seekers of truth.

أولاه مولاه مواهب فضله

أولاه مولاه مواهب فضله

والله يعطي من يشاء ويرحمُ

والله يعطي من يشاء ويرحمُ

His Lord bestowed upon him the gifts of His grace,

His Lord endowed him with graces of merit,

and God gives to whom He wills and shows mercy.

And Allah gives whom He wills, being Most Merciful.

وأقام في دار النعيم فأرخوا

وأقام في دار النعيم فأرخوا

في جنةِ الفردوسِ أسكن بيرمُ

في جنةِ الفردوسِ أسكن بيرمُ

And he dwelt in the abode of bliss; so record the date:

So rest in the Abode of Bliss, spread

In the Garden of Paradise, Bayram was given a home.

In Paradise's Garden your blessed tent.
