مولاي كم فاضت يمينك بالندا
حتىuntil غدوتُI became غريقَdrowned بحرsea الأنعمِthe favors
حتى غدوتُ غريقَ بحر الأنعمِ
My lord, how your right hand has overflowed with bounty,
My lord, how often your right hand has overflowed with generosity,
Until I became one drowned in a sea of blessings.
Until I was drowning in a sea of favors.
والشكرand gratitude أوجبَmade obligatory أنthat أقبّلَI kiss راحةًa palm
والشكر أوجبَ أن أقبّلَ راحةً
فكنَيْتso I alluded indirectly عنto هذاthis بإهداءِby offering الفمِthe mouth
فكنَيْت عن هذا بإهداءِ الفمِ
Gratitude required that I kiss your palm,
And gratitude obliged me to kiss a palm,
So I hinted at this by offering up my mouth.
So I alluded to this by offering the mouth.
