بدر العلي عريان فخر الزمانْ
Indeed, on the horizon of this place has fallen
The full moon of Ali rose naked on the horizon of this place
the full moon of eminence—ʿUryān, the pride of the age.
The pride of the age came bare and stripped of all dress
ومذand when أتىentered الجناتthe gardens of Paradise أرختهI dated his passing
ومذ أتى الجنات أرخته
عريانʿUryān (literally, naked) أضحىbecame فيin ثيابِrobes الجنانْParadise
عريان أضحى في ثيابِ الجنانْ
And when he entered Paradise, I dated his passing:
Since it entered the Gardens, it has been clothed in the robes of Paradise
ʿUryān is now clad in the robes of Paradise.
