I seek protection for you from the evil of calamities, O Egypt.
I seek refuge for you from the evil of calamities, O Egypt
For the time has come for the age to take pride in your sons.
For it is time for your children to prosper in this age

And their brilliance shall be revealed to the days,
And for them to show the days skills
Through which glory among the lands shall be yours.
With which you will have pride amongst nations
وماand not أنتyou فيin جوزِthe heart of الفخارglory دعيةٌa pretender
ولكنbut قضاءٌfate واللياليand the nights لهاthey have سِرُa secret
And you are no pretender in the very heart of glory,
You are not just a vessel made of clay
But such is fate, and the nights have a secret.
But rather destined, and nights have their mysteries

لتأخيرناto hold us back حيناًfor a while فلاso may not ردهاbring them back الدهرُtime
And those were turns of fortune amid circumstances now past,
Those are the turns of circumstances
To hold us back awhile—may time never bring them back!
That delayed us for a while, time cannot change them

So if you have fallen short in the past, then in
If you fell short in the past, in
The dawns of the future, affairs will fall into order.
The horizons of the future order will be set

And it is enough for you that leaders have appeared within you,
It suffices you that leaders have emerged in you
Theirs, in the councils of reason, are prohibition and command.
For them in the records of prohibition is the prohibition and command

They devoted themselves to pursuing glory, until there rose for them
They cared for pursuing glory until
A rank above Jupiter, and their renown spread.
Their value became high to the Buyer and their mention circulated

And they turned to spreading knowledge and guidance,
And they inclined to spread knowledge and guidance
So the scent of their perfume wafted throughout creation.
So its goodness has spread fragrantly over the galaxies

And if the naive ignoramus denies their glory,
And if the ignorant foreigner denies their superiority
Then this is proof that their works are radiant.
This is proof that their effects have overwhelmed

A peerless book among the writings of Tadros:
A unique book of the compositions of Teaching
If you compare it with pearls, the pearls are deemed paltry.
If weighed against pearls, pearls would be worthless

You imagine, when you read it, that what has passed
You'd think when reading it that the past bitterness
Of bitterness is before your eyes—and this is magic.
Is witnessed and this is sorcery

And in its rhymed prose you behold Yusuf's beauty,
And you see in its rhythms the beauty of Joseph
So how lovely, in its beauty, are rhymed prose and verse!
How excellent is the rhyme and poetry in its beauty

It sharpens the minds and the soul is satiated
Of its sweet phrasing, and thought finds guidance.
With the sweetness of its structure and thought is guided

فماfor there is no للفتىfor a young man منfrom دونwithout آدابهِhis learning and refinement قدرworth
So, O gifted ones among the people, strive like Tadros,
So oh eminent people, strive like Teaching
For a young man has no worth without his learning and refinement.
For the young man is worthless without his manners

And in this age revive your people's tongue,
And revive with this age the dialect of your people
For it is not fitting to endure its being forgotten.
For bearing its forgetfulness is not seemly to endure
