كأنها يدُ مفلوج عراه شجاً

كأنها يدُ مفلوج عراه شجاً

وراعهُ الذهر وانتابته حمّاهُ

وراعهُ الذهر وانتابته حمّاهُ

As though it were the hand of a paralytic whom sorrow has afflicted,

And whom time has terrified and his fever has assailed.
