بِهِ جَنَباتُ اللَومِ يَجذِبنَهُ جَذبا
Had what he gives been for show, he would surely have been seized
If what is given were for ostentation,
By the flanks of reproach, pulling him forcefully.
The sides of blame would grasp it, pulling it closer.
وَلَكِنَّماbut rather يَبغيhe seeks بِهِthrough it اللَهَGod وَحدَهُHim alone

فَأَعطِso give فَقَدfor indeed أَربَحتَyou have profited فيin البَيعَةِthe bargain الكَسباthe gain
فَأَعطِ فَقَد أَربَحتَ في البَيعَةِ الكَسبا
But through it he seeks God alone.
But whatever is desired for God alone,
So give, for you have indeed made a profit in the bargain.
Then give - for you have profited in the transaction.
