لَقَد لَعَنَ الرَحمَنُ جَمعاً يَقودُهُم

لَقَد لَعَنَ الرَحمَنُ جَمعاً يَقودُهُم

دَعِيُّ بَني شِجعٍ لِحَربِ مُحَمَّدِ

دَعِيُّ بَني شِجعٍ لِحَربِ مُحَمَّدِ

Indeed, the Most Merciful has cursed a host led by

The Merciful cursed a group led astray

The spurious son of Banu Shijʿ, to wage war against Muhammad.

By Dhi'ab son of Sheeg, to fight Muhammad

مَشومٌ لَعينٌ كانَ قِدماً مُبَغَّضاً

مَشومٌ لَعينٌ كانَ قِدماً مُبَغَّضاً

يُبَيِّنُ فيهِ اللُؤمَ مَن كانَ يَهتَدي

يُبَيِّنُ فيهِ اللُؤمَ مَن كانَ يَهتَدي

Ill-omened and accursed, he had long been loathed;

Evil-eyed and hated from the start

Whoever followed right guidance laid bare the baseness in him.

Revealing his vileness to any guided

فَدَلّاهُمُ في الغَيِّ حَتّى تَهافَتوا

فَدَلّاهُمُ في الغَيِّ حَتّى تَهافَتوا

وَكانَ مُضِلّاً أَمرُهُ غَيرَ مُرشِدِ

وَكانَ مُضِلّاً أَمرُهُ غَيرَ مُرشِدِ

So he lured them down into error until they fell headlong,

So he led them into error till they stumbled

And his command led astray rather than guiding aright.

His command astray, not rightly guided

فَأَنزَلَ رَبّي لِلنَبِيِّ جُنودَهُ

فَأَنزَلَ رَبّي لِلنَبِيِّ جُنودَهُ

وَأَيَّدَهُ بِالنَصرِ في كُلِّ مَشهَدِ

وَأَيَّدَهُ بِالنَصرِ في كُلِّ مَشهَدِ

So my Lord sent down His hosts for the Prophet,

But my Lord revealed troops to the Prophet

And strengthened him with victory in every encounter.

Supporting him with victory at every stage

وَإنّ ثَوابَ اللهِ كُلِ مُوحدٍ

وَإنّ ثَوابَ اللهِ كُلِ مُوحدٍ

جِنانٌ مِنَ الفِردَوْس فيها يُخَلّدُ

جِنانٌ مِنَ الفِردَوْس فيها يُخَلّدُ

And indeed God's reward for every believer in His oneness

God's reward to each monotheist

Is gardens of Paradise, where he shall dwell forever.

Is a garden in Paradise where he's immortalized
