Sol 6.1

  1. صلاة اللَه مولانا

    بقدر صفات مولانا

    The blessings of God, our Master,

    equal in measure to our Master’s attributes,

  2. وتسليم بقدر الذات

    على طه الذي جانا

    and salutations equal in measure to the Divine Essence,

    be upon Taha, who came to us.

  3. سلألنا الحق مطلبنا

    إله الخلق رحمانا

    We have asked the True One for what we seek,

    the God of creation, our All-Merciful.

  4. فندعوه ونسأله

    سؤالا معه ايقانا

    So we call upon Him and ask Him,

    with a plea accompanied by certainty:

  5. بان يجلى لنا الاسرار

    ويسعدنا بدارانا

    that He reveal the mysteries to us,

    and grant us joy in our two abodes,

  6. ويمنحنا العطا منه

    ويعطى سر إيمانا

    and bestow upon us bounty from Him,

    and grant the secret of faith,

  7. ويعلينا ويشملنا

    بفتح منه يغشانا

    and raise us high and enfold us

    in a spiritual opening from Him that envelops us,

  8. وفي الداوين ينصرنا

    ظهوراً ثم ابطانا

    and support us in the councils,

    outwardly, then inwardly,

  9. ويرقينا ويسقينا

    ويتمم منه رجانا

    and elevate us and give us drink,

    and fulfill what we hope for from Him.

  10. لنا أعلا مقامات

    من الخيرات احسانا

    For us, the loftiest stations,

    among good things, as a gift of grace.

  11. ويروينا من الانوار

    ويتعمم معه رضوانا

    And may He quench our thirst with lights,

    and may good pleasure spread along with it,

  12. ويسعدنا لحضرات

    ويسكرنا بادنانا

    and gladden us in spiritual presences,

    and intoxicate us by drawing us near.

  13. فنشهد منه خيرات

    وينف الهم أحزانا

    Then we witness good things from Him,

    and He banishes care and sorrows.

  14. ونطرب من شراب القو

    م مدا الاوقات اخوانا

    And we exult in the drink of the

    folk, as brothers throughout all time.

  15. ونطلب منه يا خلى

    سرائرنا ونجوانا

    And we ask Him, O my friend,

    about our innermost secrets and our private communion:

  16. بنو هاشم يصلحها

    ونسقى كل من جانا

    may He set them right for the sons of Hashim,

    and may we give drink to everyone who comes to us.

  17. ونطلب من زيادات

    لنا عمراً وأزمانا

    And we ask for increase

    in our lifespan and our time,

  18. مع الالهام والتقوى

    بسر ثم اعلانا

    with inspiration and God-consciousness,

    in secret, then openly.

  19. ونشكر من مواهبه

    فيوضاً منه أغنانا

    And we give thanks for His gifts—

    outpourings from Him with which He has enriched us.

  20. وشطح صاح من فرح

    على ما هو وأَولانا

    And an ecstatic outburst, O friend, from joy

    at what He is and what He has bestowed upon us.

  21. ونحمد حبنا طه

    رسول اللَه ديانا

    And we praise our beloved Taha,

    God’s Messenger, our judge,

  22. محامد من يرضيه

    ونثني للعلا آنا

    with the praises of one who pleases him,

    and extol his loftiness at every moment.

  23. فيجزينا باضعاف

    يضاعف معه إعطانا

    So he rewards us manyfold,

    and with it multiplies his giving to us.

  24. ونرجو منه في الداري

    ن يقل يا ابن عثمانا

    And we hope that he, in the two

    abodes, will say: ‘O son of Uthman,

  25. تول واسق أصحابك

    وهاشم ابنك الآنا

    take charge and give your companions drink,

    and Hashim, your son, now.

  26. وهبناك الفتوح كذا

    وأولادا واخوانا

    We have granted you spiritual openings, and likewise

    children and brothers.

  27. ومن قد لم في جمعك

    ينل روحاً وريحانا

    And whoever has joined your gathering

    shall attain repose and sweet basil,

  28. بدار الخلد مع طه

    خذوا فضلاً وإحسانا

    in the abode of eternity with Taha.

    Receive bounty and kindness.’

  29. عليه صلاة مولانا

    بقدر صفات رحمانا

    Upon him be the blessings of our Master,

    equal in measure to our All-Merciful’s attributes,

  30. تعم الآل مع صحب

    مداما بالهدى جانا

    encompassing the family along with the companions,

    forever—he came to us with guidance.
