The noble Abu Ismail built our delight:

a palace of glory, as the doves of dignity proclaimed.

The luster of its splendor delighted the beholders,

and good fortune, seeing that splendor, turned toward it.

And the bird of gladness, amid its courtyard’s expanses—

I saw it settle after visiting the place.

And it spoke words that the pen of glory dated:

“This palace is the height of honor for Ibrahim.”
