اِبشِر بِعِزٍّ مُخَلَّدِ

اِبشِر بِعِزٍّ مُخَلَّدِ

وَاِشكُر لِرَبِّكَ أَحمَدِ

وَاِشكُر لِرَبِّكَ أَحمَدِ

Rejoice in everlasting glory.

Receive the glad tidings of immortal glory,

And give thanks to your lord, Ahmad.

And give thanks to your Lord, O Ahmad.

وَدُم حَليفَ المَعالي

وَدُم حَليفَ المَعالي

في مُسنَدٍ فَوقَ مُسنَدِ

في مُسنَدٍ فَوقَ مُسنَدِ

And remain an ally of lofty honors,

The blood of the exalted is your ally,

On a seat above another seat,

In a position higher than any position,

حَتّى تَكونَ وَزيراً

حَتّى تَكونَ وَزيراً

إِن لَم يَكُن ثُمَّ أَزيدِ

إِن لَم يَكُن ثُمَّ أَزيدِ

Until you become a minister,

Until you become a minister,

If there is nothing higher still.

Or even more, if that were not enough.

وَسُد بِجُدِكَ فينا

وَسُد بِجُدِكَ فينا

وَدُس عَلى مَن تَمَرَّدِ

وَدُس عَلى مَن تَمَرَّدِ

And rule among us through your good fortune,

With your excellence, fulfil our needs,

And trample upon whoever has rebelled.

And subdue those who rebel.

وَاِشرَب كُؤوسَ التَهاني

وَاِشرَب كُؤوسَ التَهاني

وَمِز بِاليَمَنِ وَالجَدِ

وَمِز بِاليَمَنِ وَالجَدِ

And drink the cups of congratulations,

Drink the cups of congratulations,

And stand out through blessing and good fortune.

And enjoy goodness and generosity.

وَاِعلَم بِأَنَّ العَوادي

وَاِعلَم بِأَنَّ العَوادي

عَنِ السُها مِنكَ أَبعَدِ

عَنِ السُها مِنكَ أَبعَدِ

And know that misfortunes

Know that misfortunes

Are farther from you than Suha.

Are far from you.

وَلَيسَ إِلّا هَناءً

وَلَيسَ إِلّا هَناءً

وَرَغدَ عَيشٍ يُجَدَّدِ

وَرَغدَ عَيشٍ يُجَدَّدِ

And there is only happiness,

There is only joy

And a life of ease renewed,

And a life that is ever renewed,

مُبَشِّراً بِأَمانِ

مُبَشِّراً بِأَمانِ

خَيرِيَةٍ تَتَرَدَّدِ

خَيرِيَةٍ تَتَرَدَّدِ

Heralding hopes

Bringing the glad tidings of security

Of goodness, ever recurring,

And continuous blessings,

وَنِعمَةً لَيسَ تَفنى

وَنِعمَةً لَيسَ تَفنى

وَغِبطَةً لا تُحَدَّدِ

وَغِبطَةً لا تُحَدَّدِ

And a blessing that never perishes,

And favors that do not fade,

And bliss that knows no bounds.

And joys that know no bounds.

فَالدَهرُ بِالخَيرِ موفِ

فَالدَهرُ بِالخَيرِ موفِ

ماضٍ وَآتٍ وَلِأَحدِ

ماضٍ وَآتٍ وَلِأَحدِ

For time is faithful in bringing good,

For time brings only good -

Past and future, and for anyone.

Past, present and for anyone.

وَالمَرءُ لا شَكَّ يَلقى

وَالمَرءُ لا شَكَّ يَلقى

مِنَ دَهرِهِ ما تَعودِ

مِنَ دَهرِهِ ما تَعودِ

And a person surely encounters

And man will surely encounter

From his time what he has grown accustomed to.

What he is accustomed to from his time.

مَولايَ يُبقيكَ مَلجا

مَولايَ يُبقيكَ مَلجا

لِكُلِّ ما هَمَّ يَقصِدِ

لِكُلِّ ما هَمَّ يَقصِدِ

May my lord preserve you as a refuge

My lord will keep you a refuge

For all that one resolves to seek.

For all that you intend.

وَأَنتَ بِالسَعدِ أَرخَ

وَأَنتَ بِالسَعدِ أَرخَ

عامَ سَني لِأَحمَدِ

عامَ سَني لِأَحمَدِ

And you, with good fortune, record the date:

And you are, with your good fortune, adorned

“A splendid year for Ahmad.”

With a happy year, O Ahmad.
