آلَ القَنالِ تُباشِروا وَتَشكُروا

آلَ القَنالِ تُباشِروا وَتَشكُروا

فَالبِشرُ بِشرٌ بِاِرتِقاكُم لِلكَمالِ

فَالبِشرُ بِشرٌ بِاِرتِقاكُم لِلكَمالِ

O people of the Canal, rejoice and give thanks!

The Al Qanals undertake and be grateful,

For joy is joy at your ascent to perfection.

For good tidings with your ascent to perfection,

وَالحَظُّ أَشرَقَ في سَماءِ سُعودِكُم

وَالحَظُّ أَشرَقَ في سَماءِ سُعودِكُم

وَاليُمنُ وافاكُم يُمني بِالنَوالِ

وَاليُمنُ وافاكُم يُمني بِالنَوالِ

And fortune has shone in the sky of your good fortunes,

And fortune shines in the sky of your prosperity,

And good fortune has come to you, promising bounty,

And blessings accompany you, granting wishes,

بِمَحافِظٍ يَسمو بِحُسنِ صِفاتِهِ

بِمَحافِظٍ يَسمو بِحُسنِ صِفاتِهِ

وَفَضائِلَ قَد زانَها بِحُلى الجَلالِ

وَفَضائِلَ قَد زانَها بِحُلى الجَلالِ

With a governor exalted by his fine qualities,

With a governor who excels in good traits,

And virtues he has adorned with the ornaments of majesty.

And virtues adorned with the jewels of majesty,

شَهمٌ هُمامٌ عالَمَ مُتَبَصِّرٍ

شَهمٌ هُمامٌ عالَمَ مُتَبَصِّرٍ

بَحرٌ وَلَكِن ذَوقُهُ عَذبٌ زُلالِ

بَحرٌ وَلَكِن ذَوقُهُ عَذبٌ زُلالِ

Noble and valiant, a discerning scholar;

Courageous, noble, knowledgeable and perceptive,

A sea, yet its taste is sweet and pure.

An ocean whose taste is fresh and sweet,

الصِدقُ شيمَتُهُ وَغايَةُ قَصدِهِ

الصِدقُ شيمَتُهُ وَغايَةُ قَصدِهِ

وَالعَدلُ رافَقَهُ وَفارَقَهُ الضَلالِ

وَالعَدلُ رافَقَهُ وَفارَقَهُ الضَلالِ

Truthfulness is his nature and his ultimate aim,

Truth is his trait and the goal of his aim,

And justice has accompanied him, while error has left him.

And justice accompanied him, leaving misguidance,

لا غَروَ إِن رَقَصَ القَنالَ وَأَهلَهُ

لا غَروَ إِن رَقَصَ القَنالَ وَأَهلَهُ

فَرَحاً بِهِ مِن حَيثُ نالوا ذا المَنالِ

فَرَحاً بِهِ مِن حَيثُ نالوا ذا المَنالِ

No wonder if the Canal and its people danced

No wonder the Al Qanals and its people rejoiced,

For joy at him, since they had gained this boon.

With joy for him since attaining this wish,

فَاِهنَأ أَخي بِما مَنَحتَ مِنَ العَزي

فَاِهنَأ أَخي بِما مَنَحتَ مِنَ العَزي

زِ وَكُن عَلى ثِقَةٍ بِتَحسينِ المَآلِ

زِ وَكُن عَلى ثِقَةٍ بِتَحسينِ المَآلِ

So rejoice, my brother, in what you were granted by the Mighty

So congratulate my brother for the might you have given,

One, and be confident of a better outcome.

And be confident in the betterment of outcomes,

وَاِعجَب لِما قَد جاءَ في تاريخِكُم

وَاِعجَب لِما قَد جاءَ في تاريخِكُم

بِحُسينِ واصِفٍ مُنتَهى فَرَحِ القِتالِ

بِحُسينِ واصِفٍ مُنتَهى فَرَحِ القِتالِ

And marvel at what has appeared in your history:

And marvel at what has come in your history,

With Hussein Wasif, the utmost joy of battle.

With the best describer, utmost joy of battle,

فَاللَهُ يَجعَلُكُم سَبيلَ هَنائِهِ

فَاللَهُ يَجعَلُكُم سَبيلَ هَنائِهِ

وَبِكُم يَديمُ صَفاءَهُ في كُلِّ حالِ

وَبِكُم يَديمُ صَفاءَهُ في كُلِّ حالِ

So may God make you the path to its happiness,

May God make you a path of His bliss,

And through you sustain its serenity in every circumstance.

And through you perpetuate its serenity in every state.
