أَيا خَيرَ مَن رَقى العَزيزَ لِرُتبَةٍ

أَيا خَيرَ مَن رَقى العَزيزَ لِرُتبَةٍ

وَيا خَيرَ مَن حازَت سَناهُ المَحاكِمُ

وَيا خَيرَ مَن حازَت سَناهُ المَحاكِمُ

O best of those whom al-Aziz has raised to a rank,

And O best of those whose radiance the courts have gained,

أُهَنّيكَ بِالعَلياءِ تَصحَبُها المُنى

أُهَنّيكَ بِالعَلياءِ تَصحَبُها المُنى

وَاِمنَحكَ البُشرى فَعِزُّكَ دائِمُ

وَاِمنَحكَ البُشرى فَعِزُّكَ دائِمُ

I congratulate you on eminence, which hopes accompany,

And offer you glad tidings, for your glory endures.

وَذَلِكَ فَضلُ اللَهِ يُؤتيهِ يَشا

وَذَلِكَ فَضلُ اللَهِ يُؤتيهِ يَشا

وَأَنتَ بِهِ أَحرى عُدَّتُكَ المَظالِمُ

وَأَنتَ بِهِ أَحرى عُدَّتُكَ المَظالِمُ

And that is God's bounty; He bestows it as He wills.

And you are more deserving of it; grievances are your resources.

وَهاكَ لِسانُ الدَهرِ يَشدو وَمُؤَرِّخاً

وَهاكَ لِسانُ الدَهرِ يَشدو وَمُؤَرِّخاً

لِأَحمَدَ خَيري المَجدِ وَالسَعدِ قائِمُ

لِأَحمَدَ خَيري المَجدِ وَالسَعدِ قائِمُ
