مُحَمَّدُ ذو الأَفضالِ مُحرِزُ مَجدِهِ

مُحَمَّدُ ذو الأَفضالِ مُحرِزُ مَجدِهِ

سَليلَ العُلا المَحبوبِ مَن طابَ مَغرَسا

سَليلَ العُلا المَحبوبِ مَن طابَ مَغرَسا

Muhammad, rich in noble deeds, who has won his glory,

Muhammad, of great virtues, securing his glory,

beloved scion of lofty nobility, whose stock is pure,

Descendant of the exalted, the beloved one with pure lineage,

نَهنا بِمَولودٍ دَعاهُ بِأَحمَدِ

نَهنا بِمَولودٍ دَعاهُ بِأَحمَدِ

لِتَحمَدَ عِقباهُ وَيَحمَدُ مَن أَسا

لِتَحمَدَ عِقباهُ وَيَحمَدُ مَن أَسا

we congratulated him on a newborn he named Ahmad,

We were blessed with a newborn, whom he named Ahmad,

so you may praise his future, and he may praise whoever cared for him.

So his descendants would praise him, and those he brought comfort to would praise him,

فَيا حُسنَ إِسعادٍ إِلَيهِ مُؤَرِّخاً

فَيا حُسنَ إِسعادٍ إِلَيهِ مُؤَرِّخاً

وَيا خَيرَ مَولِداً لِمُحرِزٍ آنَسا

وَيا خَيرَ مَولِداً لِمُحرِزٍ آنَسا

How lovely the joy bestowed on him, as I record its date,

Oh what a beautifully fortunate date in history for him!

and what a splendid birth, bringing Muhriz joy!

And what a blessed birth for the one who brought intimacy!
