يا حُسنَ رايٍ لِلمَليكِ عَزيزَنا

يا حُسنَ رايٍ لِلمَليكِ عَزيزَنا

وَعَلَيَّ لِلمَنافِعِ ساهِرَه

وَعَلَيَّ لِلمَنافِعِ ساهِرَه

How fine the judgment of our beloved king,

O good counsel for the honored king

And watchful over me for the sake of benefit!

And I am awake for his benefit

فَلَكُم لَهُ مِن مِنَّةٍ في مُلكِهِ

فَلَكُم لَهُ مِن مِنَّةٍ في مُلكِهِ

أَضحَت لَها كُلُّ المَصالِحِ شاكِرَه

أَضحَت لَها كُلُّ المَصالِحِ شاكِرَه

So you have done him a favor within his realm,

So for him you have a blessing in his kingdom

For which all departments have become grateful.

All interests have become grateful to it

اِن لِعُمرِكَ كَيفَ بِالحَزمِ اِنتَقى

اِن لِعُمرِكَ كَيفَ بِالحَزمِ اِنتَقى

لِسِنّي دائِرَةً لَدَيهِ موقِرَه

لِسِنّي دائِرَةً لَدَيهِ موقِرَه

Indeed, by your life, how resolutely he chose

Indeed, for your age, how wisely did you choose

For my years, a department he holds in esteem.

An assembly around him that he honors

لَم يُعطِها إِلّا أَميناً صادِقاً

لَم يُعطِها إِلّا أَميناً صادِقاً

شَهماً هُماماً بِالعُلا ما أَجدَرَه

شَهماً هُماماً بِالعُلا ما أَجدَرَه

He entrusted it only to a trustworthy, truthful man,

He did not give it except to a truthful trustee

Noble-hearted and valiant—how worthy he is of high rank!

A courageous protector of the high ranks that befit him

الناسُ خَصَّتهُ بِأَحسَنِ ذِكرِهِ

الناسُ خَصَّتهُ بِأَحسَنِ ذِكرِهِ

وَاللَهُ جَمَّلَهُ بِحُسنِ الذاكِرَه

وَاللَهُ جَمَّلَهُ بِحُسنِ الذاكِرَه

The people singled him out for the finest praise,

People singled him out with the best mention

And God adorned him with a fine memory.

And God adorned him with good remembrance

لَم يَعلِ مَنصِبُ في قَضا وادارِهِ

لَم يَعلِ مَنصِبُ في قَضا وادارِهِ

إِلّا وُضوءَ كَمالِهِ قَد نورَه

إِلّا وُضوءَ كَمالِهِ قَد نورَه

No office in justice and his administration rose high

No position in judiciary and administration

Without the light of his perfection illuminating it.

Except that the light of his perfection illuminated it

وَالآَنَ لَمّا حَلَّ يَرفُلُ بِالبَها

وَالآَنَ لَمّا حَلَّ يَرفُلُ بِالبَها

في حُلَّةٍ بِسَنا سَناهُ باهِرَه

في حُلَّةٍ بِسَنا سَناهُ باهِرَه

And now, when he arrived, sweeping along in splendor,

And now when this crescent rises resplendent

In a robe dazzling with the brilliance of his radiance,

In an attire whose beauty made it brilliant

فَاليَمَنُ قالَ مُكَبِّراً وَمُؤَرِّخا

فَاليَمَنُ قالَ مُكَبِّراً وَمُؤَرِّخا

أَبشِر لِبَدرٍ قَد أَضاءَ الدائِرَه

أَبشِر لِبَدرٍ قَد أَضاءَ الدائِرَه

So Yemen said, proclaiming God's greatness and marking the date:

Yemen said celebrating and recording history

“Rejoice at a full moon that has illuminated the department!”

Rejoice for a full moon that illuminated existence
