Sol 6.1

  1. الأُنسُ سادَ بِرُتبَةِ الجَمالِ

    وَبِها البَشائِرُ قَد أَنَ جَمالي

    Fellowship reigned with beauty's rank.

    And with it, glad tidings: my beauty's time had come.

  2. وَالسَعدُ قامَ مُبَشِّراً أَحبابَهُ

    فَأَجابَتِ العَليا بَلِ البُشرى لي

    And good fortune rose, bringing glad tidings to its loved ones.

    Then eminence replied, "Rather, the glad tidings are mine."

  3. وَالحَظ راقٍ بِسوقِ مَيدانِ الصَفا

    وَرَبَت مَسَرَّتُهُ عَلى الأَموالِ

    And luck rises in the market of serenity's arena,

    And its joy has grown beyond riches.

  4. لَمّا العَزيزُ أَنالَ يوسُفَ رُتبَةً

    قَد ناسَبَت مِنهُ المَقامَ العالي

    When al-Aziz bestowed a rank upon Yusuf,

    It indeed befitted his lofty station.

  5. وافَت تَزِفُّ مَشوقَةً لِرِحابِهِ

    في حُلَّةِ التَشريفِ وَالإِجلالِ

    It arrived in procession, yearning for his courts,

    In a robe of honor and reverence.

  6. وَكَذاكَ نَعهَدُ لِلعَزيزِ عِنايَةً

    بِعَلاءِ يوسُفَ مِنَ الزَمانِ خالي

    And likewise we have known al-Aziz's care

    For Yusuf's exaltation since times gone by.

  7. وَلِيوسُفَ أَهلٌ لِكُلِّ فَضيلَةٍ

    بِمَحاسِنِ الأَخلاقِ وَالأَعمالِ

    And Yusuf has kin worthy of every virtue,

    Through excellence of character and deeds.

  8. فاهَنا أَخي بِرُتبَةِ فَرحَتٍ بِكُم

    فَرَحُ المُحِبِّ وَقَد حَظِيَ بِوِصالِ

    So rejoice, my brother, in a rank that rejoiced in you,

    With a lover's joy upon being blessed with union.

  9. وَأَدِم جَميلَكَ فَالمَحامِدُ أَرخَت

    كُلَّ الجَميلِ يَؤُب لِلجَمالِ

    And sustain your kindness, for praises have marked the date:

    "All kindness returns to beauty."
