هَنيتَ عَبدَ اللَهِ وافاكَ المُنا

هَنيتَ عَبدَ اللَهِ وافاكَ المُنا

وَرُزِقتُ يا بُشرى بِخَيرِ بَنِيِّهِ

وَرُزِقتُ يا بُشرى بِخَيرِ بَنِيِّهِ

Congratulations, Abdullah—your wishes have come true.

And I was blessed—what glad tidings!—with the finest of his children.

العِزُّ والاها وَلازشم مَهدَها

العِزُّ والاها وَلازشم مَهدَها

سَعدُ السُعودِ وَهَكَذا الذَرِيَّه

سَعدُ السُعودِ وَهَكَذا الذَرِيَّه

Honor befriended her, and [unclear verb] her cradle

Sa‘d al-Su‘ud, the Fortune of Fortunes—and such should offspring be.

لا غَروَ إِن سَمَّيتَها دُرِّيَه

لا غَروَ إِن سَمَّيتَها دُرِّيَه

حَيثُ الثُرَيا أُختُها البَكرِيَّه

حَيثُ الثُرَيا أُختُها البَكرِيَّه

No wonder if you named her Durriyya,

Since Thurayya is her firstborn sister.

فَأَنِسَ بِها وَاِرقُب لَها مُستَقبَلاً

فَأَنِسَ بِها وَاِرقُب لَها مُستَقبَلاً

حَسَناً يَدومُ بِعيشَةٍ مَرضِيَّه

حَسَناً يَدومُ بِعيشَةٍ مَرضِيَّه

So he found joy in her; and await for her a future

Fair and enduring, with a life of contentment.

فَيدُ العُلا وَفَقا إِلى ميلادِها

فَيدُ العُلا وَفَقا إِلى ميلادِها

جَعَلَت كَواكِبُ سَعدِها دُرَّيَه

جَعَلَت كَواكِبُ سَعدِها دُرَّيَه

So the hand of glory, in accord with her birth,

Has made the stars of her fortune pearl-bright.
