بني زياد لذكر اللَه مصنعه

بالصخر والحصي لم يخلط من الطين

Ziyad built his edifice for the remembrance of God,

The Ziyad clan built a structure for praising God

With stone and pebbles, mixing in no clay.

Of rock and pebble without mixing any clay

لولا تعاون أيدي الرافعين له

لولا تعاون أيدي الرافعين له

إذاً ظنناه أعمال الشياطين

إذاً ظنناه أعمال الشياطين

Had the hands of those raising it not worked together,

Had the builders not cooperated in raising it

Then we would have thought it the work of devils.

We would have thought it the devil's handiwork
