O breezes of love, greet and offer peace

to every heart enamored of beloved ones.

And do not breathe upon a heart free of love's anguish,

and do not approach it, nor waft softly.

For one sick in taste and love has no honor,

nor any bond honored by heart or mouth.

For you were not created for anything but love, nor

did you blow except for the veiled beauty:

for one whose eye is a gazelle and whose neck is [a fawn?],

and whose cheek is like smiling lightning,

and whose mouth is pearls, and whose figure, when

it sways, is like a fresh, tender branch.

For you, for the sake of all lovers,

were created; so revel in the garden of love.

And sway coquettishly, saunter, and take shelter in

the shade of a heart brimming with affection.

I love you, O breeze whose fragrance soothes me,

and whose sweet scent flows in my veins and in my blood.

    فكوني كما يقضي الهوى وتحكمي

    I love you with all my sight, hearing, and [heart?];

so be as passion decrees, and reign.

I love you, O light of my eye, with a love

in which I have surpassed the love of love-stricken Qays.
