ما حُليةُ الدنيا سوى أمجادها

ما حُليةُ الدنيا سوى أمجادها

يزهرُ في بهائِهم نديها

يزهرُ في بهائِهم نديها

The world's only adornment is her illustrious men;

The glories of the world are its only adornments

Her assembly shines in their splendor.

Its splendor blossoms through their renown

واليومَ قد زِينت ومن مُحمد

واليومَ قد زِينت ومن مُحمد

لا من سواهُ حَسنٌ حُليُّها

لا من سواهُ حَسنٌ حُليُّها

And today she has been adorned, and through Muhammad—

Today it is made beautiful, and from Muhammad

Not through anyone else—her jewels are beautiful.

Not from another comes its ornament’s perfection

قد نَسجَ الفخرُ لها مطارِفاً

قد نَسجَ الفخرُ لها مطارِفاً

مطرَّزٌ بصنعهِ بهيُّها

مطرَّزٌ بصنعهِ بهيُّها

Pride has woven ornate mantles for her;

Pride has woven for it auspicious drapes

Their splendid robe is embroidered by his handiwork.

Embroidered through his workmanship most magnificent
