The mother of glory bore him, radiant and pure;
The mother of glory gave birth to him pure white,
On earth, learning suckles him, not milk.
On earth, knowledge, not milk, nurtures him.

A branch nurtured by the great tree of generosity,
A branch grown by the palm tree of generosity,
From which supplicants have so often gathered fruits of favor.
From which the chaste have picked much ripe fruit of grace.

That it may shield them from tribulations' scorching midday heat.
Protecting them from the burning heat of ordeals.

And refined Hasan is witness enough for you
It suffices that the refined Hasan is a witness,
To his longstanding worth, through Hasan's new source of pride.
To his ancestor, with the news of the pride of Hasan.

This is he who filled the age with benefactions;
He who filled time with good deeds,
On a portion of them, all the children of time have lived.
With some of them every age lived.

If we do not direct our praise and acclaim
If we do not direct our praise and eulogy
To Muhammad Hasan, noble in deeds, then say: to whom?
To Muhammad Hasan the doer, then to whom?

He is a necklace of excellence that adorned his unadorned age;
He is a pearl of virtue adorning his idle time,
Had God not bestowed him, no price could have bought him.
Had Allah not granted him honor beyond price.

May the man you find washing his garment be his ransom,
He'd be ransomed by whoever meets him, kissing his robe,
Seeking its cleanliness while filth clings to his honor.
Seeking its cleanliness, though free of any stain.

Though praise delights me, he
Sweeter to the lover's eye than drowsiness.
Is more delightful to a lover's eye than reed.
