قَدindeed أَجدَبَتhas grown barren دارُthe abode الحِجاreason وَالنُهىand wisdom
قَد أَجدَبَت دارُ الحِجا وَالنُهى
بَعدَكَafter you مِنof آرائِكَyour views النافِعَهbeneficial
بَعدَكَ مِن آرائِكَ النافِعَه
The abode of reason and wisdom has indeed grown barren,
The abode of pilgrimage and virtue is now barren
After you, bereft of your beneficial counsel;
Without your wise beneficial views,
وَأَخصَبَتand have grown fertile أَرجاءُthe regions مِصرٍEgypt بِمَنthrough one who
وَأَخصَبَت أَرجاءُ مِصرٍ بِمَن
صَيَّرَmade مِصراًEgypt كُلَّهاall of it جامِعَهa university
صَيَّرَ مِصراً كُلَّها جامِعَه
And the regions of Egypt have grown fertile through one
Yet the precincts of Egypt thrive because of him
Who made all of Egypt a university.
Who made all Egypt into one university.
