    عِزُّ البِلادِ بِعِزِّها مَوصولُ

    In al-Badawi's courtyard, a court has alighted;

The country's glory is bound to its glory.

    يَرعى وَيَحرُسُ رَكبَهُ جِبريلُ

    And Husayn came to visit the spiritual pole of his age;

Gabriel watches over and guards his cavalcade.

Our festivals in Tanta have gained another festival,

Whose sovereign receives reverence and veneration.

In the two courts is a refuge for everyone who hopes,

And for every seeker of bounty, a springtime abode and a place of noon repose.

Tell the poor man: 'When you ask, do not fear

Refusal, for there is no miser in either court.'

    نَفَحاتُ تِلكَ كَثيرُها مَأمولُ

    The wellspring of this court's blessings never dwindles;

Abundant wafts of grace are hoped for from that court.

The province grew fertile when you alighted there,

And no drought remains in the presence of rain.

And it was seen surging with its inhabitants, while its flank

Almost swayed with the rapture of the meeting.

At your blessed arrival, they recalled a scene

In which your father Ismail once stood.

On a day like this, his memory was immortalized

By a noble deed of his among the people.

He showered the delegations with good fortune, while around him

Cries of 'God is greatest' and 'There is no god but God' answered one another.

May his noble deeds endure; and one whose work

Is like your father Ismail's—how can he fade away?

So rejoice in your kingship, O Husayn, for this reign

Is a reign that guarantees the fulfillment of hope.

And raise your people among the nations, for only

To you, after your Lord, are their affairs entrusted.

And may al-Badawi be gladdened that his friend

Does not turn away from his long-standing affection.

He has come to him, hastening toward him, and around him

Are the loftiest and noblest of those the Nile has watered.
