كَأَنَّنا قَد نَسينا يَومَ مَنعاكا
I marvel that they set aside a day to remember you,
as though we had forgotten the day your death was announced.

the memory of cooing, be sure that we have forgotten you.

the loftiest virtues of a young man are the least of yours.

till with their praise they made your resting place bloom.
