وَبَعضُ رِجاءِ المَرءِ ما لَيسَ نائِلاً

وَبَعضُ رِجاءِ المَرءِ ما لَيسَ نائِلاً

غَناءً وَبَعضُ اليأَسِ أَعفى وأَروَحُ

غَناءً وَبَعضُ اليأَسِ أَعفى وأَروَحُ

And some of a man's hopes yield no

And some of a man's hope brings no gain,

benefit; and some despair is less burdensome and more restful.

While some despair is more peaceful and restful.
