The sons of Darazah handed you over bound
On Thursday, to a watering-place from which none returns.
On Thursday, for other than the intended result

They abandoned Fatima’s son, with fetters leading him,
They left the son of Fatima the generous being led
In a place that brings hot tears to the beholder’s eye.
To a place that burns the onlooker's eye
