Not everyone who loves righteousness is granted success.

Not everyone who desires righteousness will succeed

Not everyone granted allegiance is invested with authority.

Not everyone granted allegiance is appointed

ما كل من نهج الطريقة منجحٌ

ما كل من نهج الطريقة منجحٌ

ما كل من يبغي المعارف مرشَدُ

ما كل من يبغي المعارف مرشَدُ

Not everyone who has followed the path is successful.

Not everyone who follows a path triumphs

Not everyone who seeks knowledge is guided.

Not every knowledge seeker finds a guide

ما كل من يَروي العفاف مصدَّقٌ

ما كل من يَروي العفاف مصدَّقٌ

ما كل من طلب الزهادة يزهد

ما كل من طلب الزهادة يزهد

Not everyone who speaks of chastity is believed.

Not every one professing chastity is believed

Not everyone who has sought asceticism renounces the world.

Not everyone seeking asceticism will renounce

ما كل من شاء الصعود بسلم ال

ما كل من شاء الصعود بسلم ال

خيرات للملكوت يوماً يصعد

خيرات للملكوت يوماً يصعد

Not everyone who wishes to ascend by the ladder of

Not everyone who climbs the ladder of virtues

good deeds will one day rise to the Kingdom,

Will one day ascend to the kingdom's bounties

إن لم تلاحظه بذلك نعمة ال

إن لم تلاحظه بذلك نعمة ال

توفيق من لدن الإله فيسعد

توفيق من لدن الإله فيسعد

unless, in this, he is favored by the grace of

Unless endowed by God with grace to succeed

success from God, and so attains bliss.
