ربّي بنى كالوحيد القَرنِ مسكنه

ربّي بنى كالوحيد القَرنِ مسكنه

مذ كفَّ عنه سمومَ الإثم والدنسا

مذ كفَّ عنه سمومَ الإثم والدنسا

Like the unicorn, my Lord built His dwelling,

My Lord built his dwelling like the lonely unicorn

Since He kept sin's poisons and defilement away from it,

When he rid himself of the poisons of sin and impurity

إذ حلَّ في مريم العذراء مرتضياً

إذ حلَّ في مريم العذراء مرتضياً

بطُهرها فهي عرشُ اللَه مذ جلسا

بطُهرها فهي عرشُ اللَه مذ جلسا

When He dwelt in Mary the Virgin, pleased

For he came to rest in the Virgin Mary willingly

With her purity; she is God's throne since He sat upon it.
