If the righteous, in the essence of their Lord,

attain a glory beyond any describer's description,

فماذا نقول اليوم في مجد مريمٍ

فماذا نقول اليوم في مجد مريمٍ

وقد جل حتى فاق طُورَ المعارف

وقد جل حتى فاق طُورَ المعارف

what, then, shall we say today of Mary's glory,

now so exalted that it surpasses the mountain of knowledge?

بمقدار شرع اللَه شرعاً إلى ابنها

بمقدار شرع اللَه شرعاً إلى ابنها

تحوزُ بمرآه اكتمالَ المعارف

تحوزُ بمرآه اكتمالَ المعارف

To the extent that God ordained a path to her Son,

she attains, in beholding him, the fullness of knowledge.

وتجني بمرآه القريبِ منالُهُ

وتجني بمرآه القريبِ منالُهُ

إليها به حُبّاً سبى كلَّ عارف

إليها به حُبّاً سبى كلَّ عارف

And she reaps, by beholding him—a vision easily accessible

to her—through him, a love that has captivated every knower.
