عجبت لمولودٍ وليس له أبٌ

عجبت لمولودٍ وليس له أبٌ

وليس له أمٌّ بحكم حقيقِ

وليس له أمٌّ بحكم حقيقِ

I marveled at one born who has no father,

I am amazed by one born without a father

and no mother, according to a true judgment.

And without a mother, by truth's decree.

كذا عكسه قد حاز منه اتِّلادَه

كذا عكسه قد حاز منه اتِّلادَه

وُجوداً ولن يسعى بغير طريق

وُجوداً ولن يسعى بغير طريق

Likewise, his opposite has gained his birth from him

Likewise, his opposite attained his birth

into being, and will not proceed without a path,

Through existence, and he will not seek another way.

خلافاً لمولودٍ بأمٍّ ولا أبٍ

خلافاً لمولودٍ بأمٍّ ولا أبٍ

كذا عكسه ينبيك بالتصديق

كذا عكسه ينبيك بالتصديق

unlike one born with a mother and no father.

Unlike one born with a mother, without a father -

Likewise, his opposite informs you with confirmation.

Likewise, its opposite you should believe.
