حاشاكم من وصمةٍ تُزري بكم

صِدقَ الولاء ولا أزال أحاشي

صِدقَ الولاء ولا أزال أحاشي

Far from you be any stain that disgraces you;

You are far from any blemish that would dishonor you

In sincere loyalty, I never cease to hold you above reproach.

Loyalty is true and I will not cease to pay homage

تعلون غيركمُ محلّاً مثلما

تعلون غيركمُ محلّاً مثلما

تعلو الحقيقةُ ضدَّها المتلاشي

تعلو الحقيقةُ ضدَّها المتلاشي

You surpass others in standing, just as

You raise others to a position like

Truth rises above its vanishing opposite.

Truth rises above that which fades

فالمجدُ مجدُكمُ نراه دونَكم

فالمجدُ مجدُكمُ نراه دونَكم

وسواكمُ من دونه متغاش

وسواكمُ من دونه متغاش

For glory is yours; we see it beneath you,

Glory is your glory we see it below you

And others beneath it seem to swoon.

And apart from you those below it have faded

حُزتم من الدين المسيحي رتبةً

حُزتم من الدين المسيحي رتبةً

صدرَ المجالس والأنامُ حواشي

صدرَ المجالس والأنامُ حواشي

In the Christian faith, you have attained a rank

You have attained from the Christian religion a position

At the head of assemblies, while humankind is at the margins.

The foremost of assemblies and people are appendages

أخمدتمُ الكفرَ الفظيع بأرضكم

أخمدتمُ الكفرَ الفظيع بأرضكم

والهرطقاتِ وكن قبل نواشي

والهرطقاتِ وكن قبل نواشي

You have extinguished dreadful unbelief in your land,

You have extinguished the horrendous blasphemy in your land

And heresies, which had previously been springing up.

And the heresies while before they were raging

لا زال دين اللَه يسطع نوره

لا زال دين اللَه يسطع نوره

بنفوسكم والغير كالخُفّاش

بنفوسكم والغير كالخُفّاش

May the light of God's faith ever shine

The religion of God continues to radiate its light

Within your souls, while others are like bats.

Through your souls and others like bats

ياخازني الفضل المنيع عن السوى

ياخازني الفضل المنيع عن السوى

ومحلُّكم سامٍ على الأوباش

ومحلُّكم سامٍ على الأوباش

O guardians of excellence beyond others' reach,

O keepers of glorious virtue beyond parity

And your station is high above the rabble.

And your position is high above the churls

دمتم لنصر الدين حقّاً مثلما

دمتم لنصر الدين حقّاً مثلما

دام الضياء ينير سبلَ الماشي

دام الضياء ينير سبلَ الماشي

May you truly endure in support of the faith, just as

You remain truly to help the religion as

Light endures, illuminating the walker's paths.

The light continues to illuminate the paths of the walker

وعدوُّكم بعماركم متهدمٌ

وعدوُّكم بعماركم متهدمٌ

وحسودكم بسعودكم متلاشي

وحسودكم بسعودكم متلاشي

And your enemy lies in ruins as you flourish,

And your enemy is demolished by your reconstruction

And your envier fades away at your good fortune.

And your envious ones fade with your good fortune

لما رأت أعداؤكم أعلامكم

لما رأت أعداؤكم أعلامكم

مرفوعةً فتهافتوا كالخاشي

مرفوعةً فتهافتوا كالخاشي

When your enemies saw your banners

When your enemies saw your banners

Raised aloft, they fell headlong like one afraid.

Raised they fell apart like old rags

تاقوا لضوء سيوفكم فاستَهلكوا

تاقوا لضوء سيوفكم فاستَهلكوا

فكأنكم نارٌ وهم كفَراش

فكأنكم نارٌ وهم كفَراش

They yearned for the gleam of your swords, and so perished,

They longed for the light of your swords so they were destroyed

So you were like fire, and they like moths.

As if you were fire and they were moths

سبحان مولىً خصكم بمحاسنٍ

سبحان مولىً خصكم بمحاسنٍ

مخصوصةٍ واللَهُ خير مَعاش

مخصوصةٍ واللَهُ خير مَعاش

Glory to the Lord who singled you out with virtues

Glory to the Master who privileged you with

Unique to you—and God is the best sustenance.

Special favors and Allah is the best provider
