يحوز كلٌّ من الأبرار أجمعهم

سعادةً نالها في قدر ما نصبا

Each of the righteous, without exception, attains

Each righteous soul partakes of happiness

Happiness gained in proportion to the toil he endured.

In measure of the pain and toil he bore.

لكن مريم فاقت مجدهم شرفاً

لكن مريم فاقت مجدهم شرفاً

إذ فاقهم حزنها في الإبن إذ صلبا

إذ فاقهم حزنها في الإبن إذ صلبا

Yet Mary surpassed their glory in honor,

But Mary's glory infinitely greater shone:

For her sorrow over the Son when he was crucified surpassed theirs.

She bore the grief of Jesus on the cross.
