The croaking black ravens tell me,
The dimples of her cheeks inform me,
and the pied crows bear witness with the ravens,
And her speech bears witness with her rows of pearly teeth,

that I am Juhaysh; my people are Hamdan,
That I am a tribe of Hamdan,
and I am no slave to the sons of Himman.
And I am no slave to the clan of Himyan.
