Awake from heedlessness, O people of the homeland!

Indeed, the enemy has drawn near, and behold the dust of strife.

How long will you remain crouching, O falcons?

Rise, for the crow has circled above the ruined encampments.

The enemy has attacked; behold the dust—and you

will weave him a shroud from this dust.

The crows are not left at ease in the broad wilderness

on any day when the eagle rises from its nests.

The homeland has called you—the one that embraced you

in its bosom and gave you the milk of blessings.

Charge against the enemies as the lion charges, O

lions of loyalty, for they are foxes of treachery.

So heed the voice of your father, who hopes for protection

from you; come, drive hardships away from him.

And do you not see the tears he sheds for your sake

pouring down? Rise and dry the homeland's tears.

    لكن فدى الأوطان موتكمو حسن

    Swift, grim death is beautiful to no one;

yet your death as a ransom for your homelands is beautiful.

So gird yourselves with war gear and scatter

the enemy's army, and seize the time before you.
