Leave me—for in my ignorance I am indeed at ease;
Leave me, for through my ignorance I am indeed at ease.
In it the soul finds contentment, and the ear finds rest.
The soul has found contentment in it, and the ear has found comfort in it.

ولا الكوارث تتلوها ولا المحن
I witness no falling back from ranks,
So I witness neither the projectiles from atoms,
Nor catastrophes following them, nor trials.
nor the disasters that follow them, nor the ordeals.

فالخلق أهلي وكل الأرض لي وطن
And all people are like me: the earth’s dust is their substance;
And people, like me, have the earth’s dust as their substance.
Thus all people are my kin, and the whole earth is my homeland.
So people are my kin, and all the earth is my homeland.
