When people count noble deeds, there rise

The hills of Abu Harb above whoever vies with him in height.

In them culminates the glory of every tribe,

And our summits and shoulders have become theirs.

And you are the reins of both of Nizar’s sons,

When merits are counted at the two sacred sites.

Salm has shielded me from time’s bite, and he has always had

A rain cloud that clothes petitioners, and bounty.
