I see her as the stars of night and the living sun
by the rivalry of the daughters of al-Harith ibn ʿAbbad.
Amidst the throng of girls of Harith bin Ubad

Women whose father is the most clement but were not
of al-Hutt in its mountains, nor of Hadad.

Through her I set al-Nawar’s waywardness straight, and she became
I inclined with her the course of spears so she became
now content with half, after estrangement.
Content with half after separation
