Ayyub, I do not think you doubt
Job, verily I doubt not you are noble,
that you are a led mount for the leader.
Born by your mother in their hovel of poverty
وَلَدَتكَbore you أُمُّكَyour mother فيin كِناسَةَthe refuse heap دارِهِمtheir house
حَتّىuntil اِستُثِرتَyou were dug up مِنَfrom التُرابِthe earth اللابِدِcompacted
Your mother bore you in the refuse heap of their house,
Reared from dust never still.
until you were dug out of the compacted earth.

If your head, when she strained, came forth
with the side of your ear from one and the same place,

then indeed you crouched upon your arm after
the forearm bone had been marked out for one better than you.
