    فجراً على شدو الطيور

O you for whom I melted my feeling

At dawn, to the singing of birds,

And the gleam of smiles from

    وأعماق الضمير

And poured it from the depth of my inner being

    And the depths of conscience,

    In a poem—and God knows,

He alone, what lies within our breasts.

    بالنظيم وبالنثير

For God's sake, stand and salute the education council

    With verse and with prose,

For today, a prize; and before

    Today, another, in written lines,

    Peerless, exceptional, discerning.
