أَكثَرتُI did much قَتلَslaying بَنيthe sons of بَكرٍBakr بِرَبِّهِمِin vengeance for their lord
أَكثَرتُ قَتلَ بَني بَكرٍ بِرَبِّهِمِ
حَتّىuntil بَكَيتُI wept وَماand not يَبكيweeps لَهُمfor them أَحَدُanyone
حَتّى بَكَيتُ وَما يَبكي لَهُم أَحَدُ
I slew so many of the sons of Bakr in vengeance for their lord,
I have killed many of the Bani Bakr tribe
Until I wept, though no one weeps for them.
Until I weep while no one weeps for them
آلَيتُI swore بِاللَهِby God لاnot أَرضىI am satisfied بِقَتلِهِمwith killing them
آلَيتُ بِاللَهِ لا أَرضى بِقَتلِهِم
حَتّىuntil أُبَهرِجَI declare fair game بَكراًBakr أَينَماwherever وُجِدواthey are found
حَتّى أُبَهرِجَ بَكراً أَينَما وُجِدوا
I swore by God: I will not be satisfied with killing them
I swear by God I won't be pleased by killing them
Until I declare Bakr fair game wherever they are found.
Until I utterly destroy the Bakr wherever they are found
