1. والعيدِ لَوَجهُك قِبلَتُهُ

    وسناك بهاهُ وبهجتهُ

    By Eid, your face is indeed its qibla.

    And your radiance is its splendor and its delight.

  2. عمَّت بحماك مسرَّتهُ

    وزَهت بعُلاك أَسرَّتهُ

    Its joy has spread throughout your realm.

    And its features have shone with your glory.

  3. فالقُطرُ يموج بساكنهِ

    والبشرُ حُلاهُ وحُلَّتهُ

    So the land surges with its inhabitants,

    And gladness is its adornment and its robe.

  4. والنيلُ تصفِّق موجتهُ

    وبمدحك تشدو نغمتهُ

    And the Nile's wave claps,

    And its melody sings your praise.

  5. والجمعُ ببابكَ محتشدٌ

    ونَداكَ مُناهُ وكعبتهُ

    And the crowd is gathered at your gate,

    And your bounty is its desire and its Kaaba.

  6. يدعو بدوام بقا مَلِكٍ

    غُرست في القلبِ محبتهُ

    It prays for the lasting life of a king,

    Love for whom has been planted in the heart.

  7. أعزيزَ القُطرِ وسيِّدَهُ

    يهنئكَ العيد وعودتهُ

    O mighty one of the land and its lord,

    Eid and its return congratulate you.

  8. فاملك بهناءٍ ما سطَعت

    بسما رمضانَ أهلَّتهُ

    So reign in happiness as long as there shine

    In Ramadan's sky its crescent moons.

  9. واسلم للقُطرِ وأُمتهِ

    يفديك القُطرُ وأُمتهُ

    And remain safe for the land and its people;

    The land and its people sacrifice themselves for you.
