أخَاO man of الرأْيِjudgment التّدْبيرِprudence لاdo not تَرْكَبِride الهَوَىdesire
فإنَّfor indeed الهَوَىdesire يُرْدِيكَbrings you to ruin مِنْfrom حَيْثُwhere لاnot تَدْرِيyou know
O man of judgment and prudence, do not ride desire;
For desire brings you to ruin from where you do not know.
ولاand do not تَثِقَنْever trust بالغانِياتِin beautiful women وإنْand even if وَفَتْthey keep faith
وَفاءُfidelity الغَوانيof beautiful women بالعُهُودِto pledges مِنَa form of الغَدْرِtreachery
And never trust beautiful women, even if they keep faith;
Beautiful women’s fidelity to pledges is a form of treachery.
