من حَطَّ أثقالَ الغرا

مِ بباب مالِكه اسْتراحا

Whoever sets down the burdens of love

Whoever has left the burdens of love,

at his master's door finds rest.

At the door of its owner to find peace,

إن الشجاعة في الهوى

إن الشجاعة في الهوى

كَملتْ لمن أَلْقى السلاحا

كَملتْ لمن أَلْقى السلاحا

Indeed, courage in love

Courage in passion is fulfilled,

is perfected in whoever lays down his arms.

For one who has laid down all weapons,

واللهِ لا حاربتُ مَنْ

واللهِ لا حاربتُ مَنْ

في السلم أَثْخَنَى جراحا

في السلم أَثْخَنَى جراحا

By God, I will not fight one who

By God, I would fight anyone,

in peace has grievously wounded me.

Who in peace has wounded me with wounds
