Thunder laughs aloud within it at the rain's tears,
Thunder rumbles in them from the tears of life
And lightning smiles at the breaths of its winds.
And lightning smiles from the breaths of its winds

Its rainstorm's deeds mirrored Shahinshah's generosity—

But no! Rather, its rainstorm is derived from him.
Though each telling derives from his generosity
هوhe الملكthe king المخصوصsingled out بالفضلby excellence دائماًalways

He is the king forever distinguished by excellence,
He is the king distinguished by perpetual merit
So every exaggeration in praising him is true.
So each extravagance in praising him is truth

When the camel-drivers repeat a praise-song in the deserts,
When poets repeat praise in verse
The grey doves sing of him among their leaves.
The leaves between the pages sing of him
