وَجادَ يَوماً عَلى قَومٍ بِلا أَمَلِ

وَجادَ يَوماً عَلى قَومٍ بِلا أَمَلِ

You were but like rain that disappointed the one who hoped for it,

You were but a rain that disappointed the hopeful one,

Yet one day poured generously upon a people who had not hoped for it.

And rained one day upon a people without hope.
