When my dog barks at guests, there gush forth

Springs of the water of joy upon my heart.

Fountains of joyful water pour upon my heart

فَأَلقاهُمُ بِالبِشرِ وَالبِرِّ وَالقِرى

فَأَلقاهُمُ بِالبِشرِ وَالبِرِّ وَالقِرى

وَيَقدُمُهُم نَحوي يُبَشِّرُني كَلبي

وَيَقدُمُهُم نَحوي يُبَشِّرُني كَلبي

So I greet them with cheerfulness, kindness, and hospitality,

So I greet them with good tidings, kindness, and hospitality

And my dog goes ahead of them toward me, bringing me glad tidings.

As my dog leads them towards me with glad tidings
