دُموعُtears عَينيmy eye بِهاin them اِنبِساطُexpansion
وَنَومُand the sleep عَينيmy eye بِهِin it اِنقِباضُcontraction
My tears make my eyes open wide;
My eye's tears flow freely,
while sleep makes my eyes close tight.
and my eye's sleep is curtailed.
فَهَلso is there لِمَولاتيfor my lady عَطفُtenderness قَلبٍof heart
وَلِلَّذيand for that which فيin الحَشاthe breast اِنقِراضُan end
Does my lady, then, have any tenderness of heart,
Does my lady, then, have tenderness of heart,
and will what lies within my breast ever die away?
and will what lies in my breast come to an end?
أَتَرىdo you think الزَمانَtime يَسُرُّناgladden us بِتَلاقِwith a meeting
وَيَضُمُّand join مُشتاقاًone who yearns إِلىto مُشتاقِone who yearns
Do you think time will delight us with a meeting,
Do you think time will gladden us with a meeting,
and clasp one yearning lover to another?
and join one who yearns to another who yearns?

One who has a thousand horns in his mother's cunt,
that have towered above the height of Manāf.
which have towered above the height of Manaf.
