And maintain your bond with me بِطولِthrough the great extent of بُعدِdistance to المَزارِthe visiting-place
Cut me off, O pox-scarred creature.
Take me to you, O beauty of the full moon,
And keep your bond with me by keeping your visits far away.
And unite me despite the distance of the shrine,

For [you have inflicted on me], with your face and union,
For I have been named after your face and the intimacy,
Sores [that defied] the probe.
To wounds I grew weary dressing at dawn.

A stunted chin and a long nose,
An imperfect chin and elongated nose,
And a forehead like an assayer’s board.
And a forehead like a carpenter's plane,

My night grew long because of her, so I spent it calling:
My night with her is long, so I stay up calling,
O for [vengeance for] the day’s light-giver!
O revenger of the illuminated day!

The stature of a puny young scorpion, and a hand—
The stance of the meager starling and a palm
Her two little fingers like a fuller’s [two beaters].
Whose wrists are like those of a coppersmith.
